How the calculation works
Same number of words, less input time.
If you normally type for two hours per day at 40 WPM, the model treats that as 4,800 words. At 150 WPM, speaking the same word count takes 32 minutes.
The difference is 88 minutes per day. Across 230 working days, that is about 337 hours, or roughly 42 eight-hour working days.
The formula
words per day = typing hours × 60 × 40
voice minutes = words per day ÷ 150
saved minutes = typing minutes - voice minutes
yearly saved hours = saved minutes × 230 ÷ 60

Your real saving depends on the work.
Not every typed minute can become a spoken minute. Tables, precise code, visual editing and confidential environments may still favor the keyboard. Voice has the strongest advantage when you are composing language.
